Frequently Asked Questions:

What should I expect during my first session with you?
If this is your first appointment with me, please try and arrive 5-10 min early to fill out your health history form which will be on the counter. Also to get settled in before your appointment, restroom is back out in lobby by the elevator on each floor. I'll spend a few extra minutes going over your medical history, areas of focus, stress and pain levels etc... to help customize the massage to your particular needs.

What's included in my massage?
I have aromatherapy and offer cupping both included in the price of the massage. If you would like to add cupping or aromatherapy please let me know before your service so I have time to set-up, you can always leave in comments section if booking online. For the CHABA products I do add $5 spot treatment or $10 for full body.

What if I'm running late or need to cancel my appointment?
If you're running late, please call/text and let me know. I'll give you as much as your scheduled time as my schedule allows, though treatment time might be shortened as needed.
If you need to cancel please give me 24 hours notice or I charge 100% of service charge if I'm unable to fill your spot. I do understand life/sickness happens so exceptions are made on a case by case basis.

This is my first massage.
Awesome and Welcome to the wonderful world of massage!! Try and be hydrated drink a little extra water that day. Massage increases circulation and releases toxins. Sometimes after a massage you can feel a little achy or as a cold is coming on. The more water before and after a massage the better. Undress to your level of comfort (underwear on/off) only body part being worked on will be uncovered.

My massage techniques and what I do.
I incorporate a lot of the techniques I have learned over the years (Deep, Sports, Swedish, Thai, Lomi Lomi, Trigger Point, NMT, Reflexology etc..) and customize them into the massage best suited for your needs. I tend to be more of a deep tissue therapist but with a relaxing touch, but have no problem adjusting pressure to your liking. I'll check in with pressure and heat, instructions on turning over but I do like to keep talking to a minimum if possible, keeping mind and body as relaxed as possible so you gain the most from your massage. I do encourage you to feel comfortable to let me know when you would like more/less pressure, likes/dislikes so you can have a great massage session.

Benefits of Massage and and how often should I receive massage?
Massage is great to minimize pain from injuries, decrease stress, release toxins, boost the immune system, loosen muscles among so much more.
For how often you receive massages it really depends on severity of injury, how long and how the pain is interfering with your daily life, finances, and time to receive massages. I usually recommend once a week for 3 weeks then pushing massage treatments further apart as you start to feel better. A lot of my regulars hear me talk about muscle memory. If your muscles have been tight or in pain for months and years that is their "normal." We need to get them to remember what relaxation feels like again and sometimes that might take few more sessions depending on length of pain/injury.

Do you accept Health Insurance, PIP or L&I?

I am no longer taking any form of insurance starting Jan. 1st, 2020.  If you know your out of network benefits and would still like to see me, I can give you a super bill to submit to your insurance. Please contact me if you have any questions.

What type of payments do I accept?
